Peter Bagshaw has been a GP in for over 30 years, and is currently a partner at Minehead Medical Centre.
He is currently the Mental Health and Dementia Clinical Lead for Somerset CCG, Director of the South West Dementia Clinical Network for Dementia, and Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Clinical Network Lead. He is a member of the National Improvement and Assessment Framework board, Chair of the South West IAPT Expert Reference Group, and Editor for the Dementia and Mental Health section of the online magazine Chronic Conditions.
His outside interests include painting, quantum mechanics and karate. He has written a book on the nature of reality, and is co-author of the recently published Older People’s Mental Health Primer.

Steve has been a GP partner since 1989 and continues working clinically 5 sessions per week. He is a passionate generalist – but has a respiratory specialist interest. Steve has worked nationally and internationally on respiratory issues – and has more than 200 publications on respiratory topics. He has been involved in national and international guidelines and has worked to promote good quality care for people with long term conditions. He works on educational issues in primary and secondary care – and has regular involvement with Asthma and Lung UK as well as more local patient groups in encouraging change in practice.
He has worked in service development since fundholding in the 1990s through many changes and remains passionate to make a difference.
Steve enjoys music, running, watching rugby and time spent with his wife and two daughters.
Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Gloucestershire
Beverley Bostock works as an advanced nurse practitioner in long-term conditions in general practice in Gloucestershire and is an independent prescriber. Beverley is the asthma lead for the for the Association of Respiratory Nurses (ARNS) and Chair of the ARNS Respiratory Diseases committee. She also sits on the executive committee of the Primary Care Respiratory Society and the Council of Healthcare Professionals at Asthma + Lung UK. She is a member of the nurse specialist advisory group for the British Thoracic Society. Bev has a Master of Science in respiratory care and a Master of Arts in medical ethics and law.

Farzana Hussain is a highly accomplished clinical leader with 24 years of experience as a practicing GP in a variety of local and national roles. She co-created and chaired the National Primary Care Network within the National Health Service, attaining significant influence of national policy during this time. For three years, Farzana served as Clinical Director for a primary care network since its inception.
She has achieved national recognition for her innovative work in relation to improving immunisation during the Covid-19 pandemic, appearing on both local and national media.
She was recognised as ‘GP of the Year’ in 2019 by the General Practice Awards and voted an outstanding Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) leader and featured in the Health Service Journal most influential healthcare leaders ‘wildcard’ list for 2021. She appeared in the BAME leader runner up list in the HSJ in 2024.
Farzana has significant experience of managing transformational change using quality improvement methodology and a background of educational facilitation and coaching. She ran her own GP practice for over 20 years and these days she works as a sessional GP and in advisory roles.
